More than a major event for international solidarity actors, the Humanitarian Careers Fair is the privileged rendez-vous favouring exchanges between professionals and people interested in issues linked to humanitarian affairs and the solidarity sector.

This 4th edition of the Humanitarian Careers Fair will take place on 29th and 30th November 2014 in Annemasse in the Mathin Luther King complex.

  • On the 27th June 2014, la Cité de la Solidarité Internationale hosted the 5the Conference of International Cooperation in the Rhône-Alpes region.

    Organised by the Rhône-Alpes region, this major Conference gathered international and regional actors of international solidarity in order to discuss issues linked to the following subjects: economic development, training, gender, peace culture, health, culture and rural development in the framework of the International Year of Family Farming.

The Cité de la Solidarité Internationale strives to bring about innovation, coordination and legibility field of development and international solidarity.

It particularly aims at engendering joint responses together with international solidarity organizations, companies and universities, the public and the private sector, in order to address future challenges by developing a territorial intelligence.


The Cité de la Solidarité Internationale in Annemasse: a territorial rooting and an ideal location to benefit from:

The network dimension: The Cité de la Solidarité Internationale forms a multistakeholder network made up of: Geneva’s key actors, solidarity actors in the Rhône Alpes region, acteurs institutional actors, economic and academic actors in Greater Geneva and the Rhône Alpes region.

The Training dimension: In collaboration with experts, the Cité de la Solidarité Internationale organises workshops and training courses favouring skills transfer and responding to observed specific needs.

The Event Dimension: Through frequent events, the Cité de la Solidarité Internationale puts key actors of international solidarity together to discuss specific subjects that touch upon common interests or shared goals.

The Premises Dimension: The Cité de la Solidarité Internationale provides functional workspaces. It offers turnkey solutions designed to address the needs of international NGOs and International Organisations: offices, meeting rooms, a documentation center and co-working areas.

The Service Dimension: The Cité de la Solidarité Internationale provides a large scope of tools: information, counselling and project assistance. It centralises news and significant emerging issues as well as it identifies major trends regarding international cooperation, sustainable development and professionalisation.


In the spirit of reciprocity, the Cité de la Solidarité Internationale bolsters the exchange of ideas, knowledge and skills between actors of solidarity and political and economic stakeholders.
