The Maison de l’Economie Développement (MED) is a semi-public company founded on 13 December 1991.
Launched as a result of a desire on the part of public authorities to encourage economic expansion in the Genevois Haut Savoyard region, and today with a distinguished track record of expertise and knowledge, the MED's goal is to be a technical and operational resource for companies and public authorities in the areas of economic development, coordination and land management.
The MED’s mission consists of three parts:
Annemasse Agglo has entrusted the Cité de la Solidarité Internationale project to the Maison de l’Economie Développement.
The MED also houses the Centre de Ressources Technologiques et Humaines (Technology and Human Resources Centre) and the Genevois Haut Savoyard Initiative:
The Centre de Ressources Technologiques et Humaines (CRTH) is an association founded in 1992 operating in the areas of education, training and employment. Its role is to facilitate relations between school and the workplace throughout the region and to offer technical assistance in coordinating employment / training projects.
The Genevois Haut Savoyard Initiative (GHSI), launched in 1997, is a local initiative platform with its roots firmly based in the local community, promoting close relations with local authorities, the region and the network of local partners. It is a financial tool serving the needs of business start-ups/ takeovers.
