TRANSHUMA is a humanitarian association founded in 1998 to respond to the needs of international solidarity groups in relation to shipping equipment. The association specialises in the logistics and transportation of humanitarian aid by road.

It supports associations looking to deliver humanitarian aid, offering them information on available transport methods and alerting them to constraints and customs procedures specific to each country.

Transhuma offers practical solutions to associations wishing to send aid to developing countries.

In the case of emergency missions, Transhuma can offer rapid deployment to the natural disaster or conflict zone.

Its operations comprise: 

Logistics and administrative services:

• Grouping of aid from several agencies ;
• Collection of humanitarian equipment from each association’s headquarters ;
• Management of customs documents relating to export or import of humanitarian equipment (Transhuma is a member of the French International Road Transport Association - AFTRI) ;
• On behalf of its partner associations, Transhuma manages customs clearance procedures for humanitarian equipment along with import tax exemption applications.
  
  Transport services : 
• We have our own vehicles for the transportation of goods by road ;
• All our vehicles are T.I.R. certified (International Road Transport) ;
• HGVs available to hire ;
• Qualified staff available, trained by the association.

Distribution services:
We handle the distribution of aid entrusted to us by partner associations, which is transported to its final destinations in remote villages, without the use of intermediaries or transfer of goods. This enables us to guarantee the security and monitoring of humanitarian equipment, from loading through to unloading.

Collaboration with the Cité de la Solidarité Internationale
Transhuma wishes to participate in the Cité de la Solidarité Internationale and base part of its business in the Annemasse metropolitan area.
