Doctoral workshop 2020

Doctoral workshop 2020

Participate in the 3rd edition of the Doctoral Workshop: the meeting between researchers and solidarity actors.

French version

The Cité de la Solidarité Internationale in partnership with the NGO Planète Réfugiés Droits de l'Homme invite you to :

On November 16th, Research and Practice will meet around the subject of environmental migration, to analyse this phenomenon & propose lines of thought and operational solutions. French and international doctoral students will present their research to lawyers, sociologists, elected officials, citizens, humanitarians and young people in training in the international solidarity sector. They will also contribute to opening up new project perspectives, particularly for field actors working in contexts of climate-related population displacement. Let's think together about tomorrow's solutions !

Workshop programme

6 doctoral students present their theses in a synthetic way in front of a jury of 5 experts (field practitioners, researchers, lawyers). The discussions will be moderated by a moderator, himself an expert in the field. At the end of the session, the public will also be able to ask questions.

The objectives are to :

  • To question the place of science in the development of new solidarity actions,
  • Discuss concrete applications of the research work of doctoral students in the future,
  • To inspire new ways of addressing the causes of environmental migration

This event will be 100% virtual. We therefore propose you to follow 3 thematic sessions of 1 hour each and to discover the theses of the PhD students participating in the workshop according to your preference. All the sessions will be accessible from the same link!
